Jakarta, Indonesia – (6 February 2024) – The Indonesian Institute of Architects (IAI) in collaboration with PT CIS Exhibition proudly announces the fourth annual ARCH:ID, Indonesia’s Most Awaited Architecture Forum & Trade Event. Scheduled from February 22 to 25, 2024,  at Hall 5 – 6 ICE, BSD, Tangerang, the event is set to unveil its groundbreaking theme this year:

‘Placemaking: Tolerance’ – focusing on the harmonious coexistence of humans, the evolution of cities, the preservation of nature, and the integration of technology.

This year, ARCH:ID features a curated exhibition by Indonesia’s renowned architects, namely Ar. Yacobus Gatot S. Surarjo, IAI, Ar. Nelly Daniel, IAI, and Ar. I Ketut Dirgantara, IAI. This ensures that each event offers not only world-class exhibitions and conferences but also a variety of programs and content for knowledge sharing.

ARCH:ID 2024 aims to bring together architects, design enthusiasts, developers, urban planner, government agencies and professionals in the architecture and built industry for a thought- provoking and innovative experience. The event highlights booths designed by an architect with an Architect Registration Certificate (STRA license), reflecting the theme “Placemaking: Tolerance.” It will feature over 300 stands showcasing innovative products and services from both local and international brands,   including manufacturers of architectural products, building materials, and interior design. It is a big opportunity to explore the latest trends in architecture and design.

This year’s event will be further enhanced by Featured Exhibitions from SKENA Creative, Atap Kebhinekaan by IAI Region 3, IAI KOLABORNEO by IAI Region 4, a Tribute to Eko Prawoto & Josef Priotomo, 4 Nations Young Architect showcase, BYO Living Award: IAI Series Tectonica Competition, Alun-alun and Pod all thoughtfully designed by architects.

In addition to the exhibitions, ARCH:ID 2024 will also feature a rich program including a 2-day conference, the ARCH:ID Talk Series, Obrolan Tuju-Tuju, and ARCH:ID Hackathon. Over 200 speakers will share their knowledge and insights across these platforms, offering attendees a comprehensive and diverse learning experience.

ARCH:ID 2024 INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE

Responding to the big theme ‘Placemaking: Tolerance’ the conference will be divided into 2 big sub-themes, namely Urban Forum & Architecture Forum. On the first day there will be an Urban Forum with renowned speakers including Bambang Susantono from Nusantara Capital City Authority (IKN), Rob Adams, City Architect of Melbourne, Nans Voron, Obel Award 2023 Winner, and Sibarani Sofian, IKN/Nusantara Urban Designer. On Day 2, the Architecture Forum continues with equally distinguished speakers, featuring Jo Nagasaka from Japan, Christopher Lee from the  United Kingdom,  alongside  Muhammad Faizal  Syamsalam  and  Antonius  Richard from Indonesia.

About the Indonesian Institute of Architects (IAI)

The IAI was officially established on September 17, 1959, in Bandung. Now, at its 61st year, IAI boasts a membership of more than 20,500 architects registered through 34 provincial administrations, 1 representative administration, and 4 regional administrations spread across Indonesia, with the youngest provincial administration in Maluku, which was declared on August 19, 2017.
